Our organisation promotes clients in a positive manner during all dealings with the community, other support agencies and government departments. All clients of our service have a clear sense of pride in the fact that they are contributing to the community in productive and positive ways. They indicate in many ways that they feel staff treat them as a valued person and are focused on their abilities. Our clients are given the opportunity to have a say in the planning of the services they receive through their Individual Plan and they are also given the opportunity to use and develop their skills and abilities through group activities."

Our clients are encouraged to provide input on the running of the service and are regularly asked for ideas on how our service delivery can improve. It is fair comment to say that our clients indicate that they are of the opinion that the service they are receiving is of a high standard, that staff seem good at their jobs and that they appear to have a high level of confidence in the management of the service.

We maintain an annual gathering (parent night) for the purpose of engaging in discussions on various issues. Our service practices and policies are multi-layered with multiple reporting systems which allows for transparency of activities and decision making. We operate within a "do no harm' philosophical approach, and an "open door" policy. Carers and parents are involved in our organisation and promotional activities.

We will act in an advocacy role to support the rights of our clients in defined circumstances, and support our clients in decision-making and positive and negative evaluation feedback, whilst maintaining dignity and respect and valued status.
